“Staging space exhausted” on the server

Preparing a download on the server's Recover page fails with staging space exhausted, naming how much is free and how much is kept in reserve.

Why

A download is prepared on the server's own drive first. The server always keeps some space free so that PCs can carry on backing up, and will not prepare a download that would eat into it.

What to do

• Best for anything large: choose Restore to a folder on this server… instead, and pick a folder on a drive with room. Nothing is prepared first.
• Move where downloads are prepared: Settings → Recovery staging → Staging folder, choose a folder on a bigger drive.
• Free space: press Discard on finished recoveries you have already downloaded.
