Every PC in your office, backed up.
Nothing leaves the building.
BackupMate backs up the Windows computers in your office to one machine you already own. It runs by itself, encrypts everything before it is sent, and tells you when something is wrong. No cloud account, no monthly storage bill, and your files never cross the internet.
Free for up to 3 PCs, for as long as you like. Every feature for 30 days on any number of PCs. No card, no account.
What goes wrong without it
Most offices find out they had no backup on the day they need one.
The accounts PC dies
Years of Tally data, invoices and returns on one disk. The copy on the pen drive is from last April.
Ransomware gets in
Every file on every shared drive is encrypted overnight, including the "backup" folder on the same network.
Somebody deletes a folder
Nobody notices for three weeks. The recycle bin was emptied long ago.
The backup quietly stopped
The external drive filled up in March. Nothing said so.
Two installers and a wizard
- Install the serverOn any Windows PC with spare disk space: a desktop that stays on, or an old machine in the corner. It needs nothing set up first.
- Install the clientOn each PC you want protected. Connect it to the server, tick the folders that matter, pick a time.
- Leave it aloneBackups run on schedule, whether or not anyone is logged in. You get an email if one fails or a PC goes quiet.
- Get files backFrom the PC itself, or from the server when the PC is the thing that broke. Pick a day, pick the files, restore.
Built for the day something goes wrong
Encrypted before it leaves the PC
Each computer encrypts its own files with AES-256. The server stores data it cannot read unless you choose otherwise.
Deleted backups come back
Nothing a PC deletes from the server is gone at once. It is kept for 30 days, so malware on one machine cannot wipe everyone's history.
Restore never stops working
If your licence lapses, backups for extra PCs pause. Getting your files back is never restricted, licensed or not.
It tells you, plainly
An email when a backup fails, when a PC has not backed up for a while, and when it recovers. In words, not error codes.
Small after the first run
Only what changed is sent, and identical files across the office are stored once. Open files such as a live accounts database are captured properly.
One screen for the whole office
See every PC, when it last backed up and whether it is overdue. Recover a broken machine's files without the machine.
Simple pricing, per office
One licence per server, by the number of PCs, per year. The server software itself is free.

Somebody to ask
Free backup tools exist, and they are good. What they do not come with is a person. Paid plans include help by email and WhatsApp from the people who wrote BackupMate, and an invoice with a company name on it.
